A penchant for fashion design must run rich in certain gene pools, as Teresa Liano, one half of the pair heading contemporary knitwear designer TL Wood, is denim superstar Bettina's younger sister. Christopher Wood is the duet's other half, and the design twinship of old friends began in the eponymous Chapel Street nine years ago. Since then, the label has made a distinct name for itself, following the waters of fashion in a smooth swim to the casual elegance our flexitime workforce now demands. With an emphasis on beautiful fabrics with distinct tailoring, the duet focuses on reaching the perfect balance of designing for movement, while still maintaining what Wood describes as an obsession with quality, cuts and fabrics. Achieving the seemingly impossible by keeping jerseys, cottons and elegantly faded patterns stylish, the keyword of the TL Wood-dressed would be "freedom".
